Overview
Snoonu is Qatar’s fastest-growing super app, offering food delivery, groceries, courier, retail, and pharmacy services in one unified platform. As the demand for multipurpose convenience grew, so did the need to redesign Snoonu's experience into something faster, smarter, and more localized.
Key Features
Modular home experience: Custom card-based layout prioritizing user-preferred services.
Unified search and filters: Smart filters and predictive search across food, retail, and courier.
Dynamic navigation: Bottom tab structure with clear visual hierarchy and service icons.
Personalized offers: Hyper-local banners, seasonal promos, and loyalty integrations.
Smooth multi-service checkout: One streamlined checkout flow regardless of the service used.
Bilingual design (LTR + RTL): Full Arabic/English support with seamless RTL mirroring.
User Story
As a busy professional living in Doha, I want to order food, groceries, and send parcels from one app, so I can save time and avoid switching between different services.
This user story reflects a core Snoonu persona—someone who values speed, convenience, and reliability in daily tasks. It became the foundation for simplifying navigation, unifying services, and designing a fluid experience that feels personal and effortless.
Strategy & Impact
Research-led design
Audited competitor flows (Talabat, Careem, Mrsool) and gathered feedback from Qatari and expat users. Identified navigation overload and checkout friction as primary blockers.
User-centric strategy
Simplified the homepage using behavior-based service grouping. Introduced express order re-entries with “repeat last order” and “quick grocery list.” Addressed drop-offs with a one-tap location selector and default payment fallback.
Creative direction
Created a visual design system grounded in local culture—warm tones, round UI elements, bilingual typography. Used animated storytelling, themed campaigns, and micro-interactions to humanize the experience.
System scalability
Built a Figma-based reusable design component library to scale future updates across new verticals and teams. Enabled easier collaboration between product, marketing, and dev teams through a shared language and documentation.
